Walt Disney World Does Turkey
Walt Disney World Does Turkey

One of the mainstays of a Thanksgiving Meal is Turkey. So where can you get a bit of your own Turkey Day bounty in Walt Disney World? Short answer: almost anywhere.

Lets Talk Turkey

The Infamous Turkey Legs

I’m not sure how the Turkey legs became a Disney snacking mainstay, but they have become a big part of many guest’s experiences. Most people know that you can get the Turkey legs in Tomorrowland under the Astro Orbiters, and having one is the perfect way to snack after a trip on Space Mountain. But there’s also a kiosk in Adventureland!

And you can find these delicious treats in all three of the other parks as well! The Fife and Drum Tavern in the American Pavilion in Epcot boasts the giant drumsticks, and so do the Toluca Legs Turkey Company in Hollywood Studios, and the Safari Turkey Kiosk and Trio-Bites in the Animal Kingdom.

Fun Fact: guests purchase 1.6 million Turkey legs a year Between Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort!

The Turkey Option in the Liberty Tree Tavern

The Liberty Tree Tavern is located in the heart of Independence Square in Magic Kingdom. It’s a step out of 1776, with the fabled Liberty Tree in the front and artifacts from the time period all along the walls. And the food is the perfect version of all American fair. With an all you can eat table service with Turkey, Roast Beef and all the sides and fixings you could wish for on Thanksgiving. This is a table service meal, so Advanced Dining Reservations are strongly suggested. But you can get your Turkey fix all year round!

Official Thanksgiving Day Meals

And if you’re going to the Parks on Turkey day itself, you will find a whole slew of additional options! The Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is offering the meal at Lunch and Dinner as is Le Cellier and the Rose and Crown Dining Hall (That’s Norway, Canada, and the UK). You can also get a buffet-style meal at the Biergarten in the German Pavilion.  If it seems odd that these are the places to get your meal, it maybe with the exception of Canada (which does celebrate Thanksgiving, just a whole month before the US) it may be. But it’s the magic of Disney at work.

You can also find a Thanksgiving day meal at almost every single Disney Resort Hotel including the Fort Wilderness Campground.

Head to Disney Springs

Disney Springs is also boasting Thanksgiving Specials at most of its restaurants and there will be special live entertainment!

So no matter where you are in the Parks on Thanksgiving day, there will be plenty of Turkey to go around!
