5 Ways to Spend a Romantic Valentines Day at Disney World

A trip to Walt Disney World can mean a lot of things. It means new memories, and time with the whole family. But it can also mean romance. Now I know that first timers and folks who haven’t been to Disney yet don’t usually put ‘romance’ and ‘Walt Disney World’ in the same sentence, but spending Valentines Day at Walt Disney World can be a very romantic tradition. So let us show you 5 ways to make a Valentines Day in Disney romantic.

1. A Romantic Giftrose-pearls

While most guests know about the mouse ears and t-shirts offered at the Disney Parks, not everyone knows that you can get a high-end gift that can fit any occasion. If you want to give a jewelry item or accessory, nearly every pavilion in Epcot has a high-end counter or booth. You can get Pearls at Japan, or you can head over to Italy for some fine leather items! Disney Springs also has a wide variety of shopping items including fine jewelry offered by Erwin Pearl, Alex and Ani, and Something Silver.

If you want chocolates you can head to Ghirardelli in Disney Springs or you can get something decadent at the France Pavilion, Germany or even the UK! No matter what you’re looking for, you’re bound to find it somewhere in the Walt Disney World resort. And nothing says you can’t go shopping together for an extra dose of closeness!valentines-day-2057745_1920

2. A Time to be Pampered

Disney offers everything you could dream of in a vacation destination. This includes access to world-class spa accommodations. Nearly every one of the larger hotels has a spa attached, and you can book a treatment without booking a room! There are couples options as well, or you can give a spa treatment as a gift.

And if you want a little help getting ready for a night out, you can book a haircut and manicure at one of the many salons on site. And you can even head over to the France Pavilion for a makeover at Givenchy! You’re relaxed and ready to go, so let’s get your Valentines Date started!

3. A Horse Drawn Carriage

Nothing says romance like a horse-drawn carriage ride through idyllic scenery. You have two options for Carriage rides in Walt Disney World. The first is to head over to the Port Orleans Resort Area and take a tour on the shores of the Sassagoula River. The carriage ride is 25 minutes long and you can snuggle in with your sweetheart as you take in the sights.

If you want to stick closer to the Magic Kingdom and the Monorail lines, you can also book a 25-minute carriage ride at the Fort Wilderness Resort Area. This ride boasts pine and cypress forests, woodland creatures and views of a more rustic Florida. This gives you two vastly different styles to choose from, so pick whichever fits you and your loved one best! And now, its time for a romantic dinner for two

4. Dinner for twobistro-

Disney Dining is always a highlight of any Disney trip. There are so many venues to choose from that your only issue will be finding the right cuisine to make the night special. We’d recommend a sit-down meal or signature dining experience. You can go for a character option, like the dinner offered at Be Our Guest. Or you can choose a more sophisticated meal. We have a couple of picks for you and we plan on making a more comprehensive list of romantic dining options soon.

Be Our Guest is at the top of the list for romantic dining experiences. in the Magic Kingdom. I mean, what better way to say I love you to a Disney fan than in the ballroom? The cuisine is French and there is a private label wine selection with four fantastic options to choose from!platter-

Epcot has some of the best dining options in Walt Disney World, and there are a few options in the World Showcase that have just the right ambiance and menu style to be truly romantic. Our first suggestion is Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canadian Pavilion. This restaurant offers fantastic entrees, perfect wine pairings, and is generally quiet. And the low lighting will make you feel like you’ve stepped out of the parks and into another world.

Another Epcot option is Monsieur Paul in the French Pavilion. This is another Signature Dining experience that offers fantastic food and limited seating. So you can enjoy the best of French Haute Cuisine without having to deal with the typical Disney crowds. Other fantastic options include Teppan Edo in Japan and La Cantina de San Angel. Both have the perfect atmosphere for romance, great food to be shared, and La Cantina is right on the water’s edge so you can enjoy spectacular views and even the Epcot fireworks show!

Other options around the Resort include The Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios, Tiffany at the Animal Kingdom, Artists Pointe in the Wilderness Lodge and even all Victoria and Alberts in the Grand Floridian. With that last option, you’ll need to clear your evening as this 5-star dining experience takes a few hours to complete. And if you can, save room for dessert because what better way to cap off a Romantic Day than with fireworks?

5. Catching the Fireworks with a glass of champagneChampagne and fireworks

The firework shows at Walt Disney World are always a magical way to cap off a day. But on Valentine’s day, that bar is set a little higher. And we have a couple of suggestions to ramp up the romance while catching the evening show. And even if you caught the fireworks with dinner, it doesn’t mean you can’t catch a second showing with dessert!

You have a couple of options. Your first is to book a dessert party of wine tasting event at one of the parks. Epcot has a couple of venues that do this as does the Magic Kingdom. Your second option is to book a table at the California Grill at the top of the Contemporary Resort. This exclusive view even boasts the full firework experience. That means they even pipe in the soundtrack to Happily Ever after as the show is happening.

Another option is to book a firework cruise for two. This will take you out onto the Seven Seas Lagoon.  There you and your sweetheart can sip champagne, each decadent treats and watch the fireworks launch over Cinderella Castle from the deck of one of the WDW fleet. You need to book this excursion pretty far in advance, but the view is spectacular.fires works castle

Of course, you could always watch the fireworks from Main Street USA hand in hand with the one you love. Because no matter what you plan for Valentine’s day, what truly matters is that you’re with the one you love. So we hope you and yours have a magical, and romance filled Valentines Day this year!
