Disney’s New Handicap Policy

The Walt Disney Co.’s U.S. theme parks plan to stop offering unlimited front-of-the-line access to disabled park visitors, in a bid to prevent abuses by travelers who exploited the program by hiring disabled tour guides to pose as family members.

A Disney spokeswoman said Monday the company’s “Guest Assistance Card” program — in which disabled guests were issued cards entitling them to skip to the front of any attraction at Walt Disney World or Disneyland in Anaheim Calif. — will end Oct. 9.
